List of moderately difficult skribbl words for your new friend group (1200+ words)

That is to say that this list contains words that this list contains words that:
  1. Usually aren't instantly guess-able (like star, apple, or Nike).
  2. Can be played with a group of acquaintances (I play with a group of interns at work to blow off time)
Created this list by modifying an existing difficult word list we found online and adding a bunch of new words. If you see a stupid difficult word, it was probably a word from the existing difficult word list that I forgot to remove. (amicable and reimbursement were the type of bs I removed lol).

1️⃣GENERAL INFO1️⃣
FREEBITCO.IN can be accessed from any device with internet.
Using a VPN or a TOR is now allowed given that your account achieves certain criteria similar to a captcha free account requirements.
🛑WARNING: FREEBITCO.IN wipes inactive accounts after a certain period! If you lose interest, withdraw your BTC!
📝NOTE: iOS devices (iPad, iPhone) are restrictive. The only way to access is via website, as BitBot isn't available.📝
FREEBITCO.IN is what's called a "faucet", a site that gives a small steady stream of crypto which FREEBITCO.IN does through hourly rolls and interest accrual.
FREEBITCO.IN also hosts other means to win or earn crypto, you can gamble with Multiplier, or bet on world evens and crypto prices.
After your account reaches 30k Satoshi, you begin to collect interest. The site also offers lifetime referral commissions, explained later in this guide.
All you need to start is an email. You can add more verification options for security later on. I would highly suggest it. Use a junk email though.
2FA and MFA are strongly suggested. A password should be 15 characters long. I suggest Google Authenticator for your 2FA needs.
I know you can definitely access this site from Brave Browser with add blockers enabled. I'm sure it will work with others. Even without an ad blockers, they only advertise their site gambling and games, no 3rd party adds that I've seen. It's not too invasive or spammy either.

2️⃣POST INTENTIONS2️⃣
This post is both an advertising platform I use, and a guide I've made to help those interested to automate and optimize earnings.
For those of a cautious mindset, I've uploaded all of FREEBITCO.IN's information on interest accrual, security, and proof of mining on Imgur, in case you're worried about visiting the site.

3️⃣MY EARNINGS3️⃣
So at this point, with hourly claims and daily interest, I'm bringing in roughly 8978 Satoshi (or .70$ USD with BTC at 7804$ USD) daily at full optimization on one account, and two other self referred accounts without lifting a finger. This is before the fact that a hourly roll (claim) can reward up to a max of 200$ USD worth of BTC (percentages in section 5️⃣).
They also have a weekly lotto (tickets awarded with every roll and referral roll) with the last 1st place winner receiving .32769156 BTC (2587$ USD at current bitcoin price).
This is also not including my current commissions on accounts not owned by me. In this post I will describe some of my strategies I've incorporated, and some insight into how this website works.
To offload or withdraw bitcoin, you're going to need what is called a "wallet". I personally use Coinbase (available on mobile or desktop) as you can sell it through here as well and easily move money to Paypal or a bank.
⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹
4️⃣HOW DO COMMISSION REWARDS WORK?4️⃣
If you are already on FREEBITCO.IN, do you have someone who referred you? Do they share commissions? If not, why not make a new account and join me, where you'll get a return on everything you earn.
As you can see, large affiliate groups don't share anything, hoarding hundreds of thousands worth of BTC earned off their referrals
I share 50% of my commissions. I get 50% of your roll rewards, 25% of your interest, and 0.4% of your wagers. All of this is paid out by FREEBITCO.IN as a commission, so it's not pulled from your rewards or held BTC.
So the more you're active, the more you'll receive from me weekly (being active is doing anything that I get commissions from). IMPORTANT: Your (and all referrals) shares are based on activity, so if you are inactive for the week, you get a lower % for that week. If you're the most active of my referrals you get a higher percentage of what I share. This is to incentivize being active and to stop people from getting a cut without doing anything.
If you have FREEBITCO.IN automated, you don't have to worry about this. However, having a larger bankroll to earn interest, or playing Multiply BTC (I do not suggest playing unless doing so to meet auto roll requirements) will increase can your activity further.
Commission Structure
Here is some proof, I've actually shared about 2/3 of all commissions

📝NOTE: I've noticed when I was creating the images of commission sharing that the "RECENT" blocks are showing zero. If you look at totals from the first image, you can tell I'm actively sharing with all of my referrals.📝

5️⃣SOME CLAIM STATS5️⃣
You can earn AT LEAST .00000552 BTC (.048$) daily when automated (or claiming every hour on the hour) before bonuses (like using reward points to increase rewards 1000%). After some testing, it seems that this amount will always be about .048$ worth of BTC, base claim rewards no bonus active.
After .00030000 BTC, you accrue compounding interest at a rate of 4.08% APR, paid daily. As soon as your daily interest is accredited, it too starts earning interest. The daily interest rate comes out to ~0.011% of your total held BTC.
FREEBITCO.IN gives you a roll once every hour, free
📝NOTE: Roll rewards fluctuate inversely with BTC price. BTC goes down, roll rewards go up, vice versa. The BTC rewards USD value will be extremely close to the values represented below.📝
Current rewards and probability with every hourly roll.

(.02$) -> 1.00%
(.20$) -> .08%

6️⃣MULTIPLY BTC STRATS AND INFO6️⃣
🛑!WARNING!, NO STRATEGY IS 100%, THE MULTIPLIER GAME IS GAMBLING, YOU CAN STILL LOSE YOUR WHOLE BALANCE IF YOU PUSH YOUR LUCK.🛑
UPDATE: I decided to do some research after some odd outcomes when extensively testing some of my Multiplier strats. Turns out FREEBITCO.IN does indeed have a house advantage that isn't too transparent. Longer sessions are almost always going to come out negative. If you still plan on playing, do short sessions, once daily max, with lower amounts.
There are a couple methods to play the Multiplier with a reduced risk (but still a risk) here as well. I would suggest small play sessions.
STRAT #1
My preferred settings for AUTOROLL on MULTIPLY that I've had the best success rate with to date. (preferably with .00005000 in ACCT for best results)
BET: Minimum
ODDS: 3
ROLLS: (doesn't matter, 100)
BET ON: alternate
STOP BETTING PROFIT: .00000050, important as the bets will get exponentially higher with every loss. Win in small increments.
STOP BETTING LOSS: Set a loss limit if you want, I have mine set to .00001 and haven't reached it
ON WIN: select increase bet 0%
ON LOSS: select increase bet 65%
RANDOMIZE CLIENT SEED: yes
DO NOT REFRESH: yes
Here is a pic of the settings
Anything else doesn't matter. Make sure the boxes are checked for the above options.
With this strat, I've won positive on one account, about .000077 BTC, and I've only played 5 or 6 times, at less than 2-3 minutes of play time a session.
STRAT #2
Good for accounts with a low balance. I've had a surprising amount of luck with this method, enough so that I thought I'd post it here with an update. This could work well for accounts with less than 1k Satoshi, as a losing streak wouldn't be a huge loss. For this strat, you should have at least 189 Satoshi in your account.
BET: Minimum amount
ODDS/WIN CHANCE: 189 or %0.5
ROLLS: 189 (remains the same no matter if you bet more)
BET ON: High or Low, but not Alternate.
STOP BETTING ON PROFIT: Minimum amount, once again, you want continuous small wins
UPDATE: Conducting more tests for viability
I played these settings 10 times, I came out positive 8/10 times. In the end I was positive 433 Satoshi total with selecting "hi".
On selecting "low" I went positive 5/10 losing 525 Satoshi.
On selecting "hi" and betting 10 Satoshi, I went positive 3/10 times losing 9708 Satoshi.
On selecting "high" and betting 100 Satoshi, I never went positive, 0/10. Losing 189000 Satoshi (~15$ USD).
There does seem to be a pattern of losing more when betting more. Like anything gambling, there's probably a house advantage that's not too transparent.
Win small lose small.
Pic of these settings
STRAT #3
Another strategy I've tried is betting most of my balance once occasionally with a 94.06% chance of winning. This is, eh, alright to risk OCCASIONALLY, but a loss would set you back more than you ever made using this strategy, which happened to me, I lost about 40 USD worth of BTC after making maybe 5 USD.
THIS METHOD IS GREAT FOR MEETING NON-CAPTCHA ACCOUNT REQUIREMENTS!
Playing this in auto roll, out of 20 rolls I'd always lose at least once, putting me into the negative. Even with 10 rolls, I'd more often then not lose at least once.
Pic of these settings
There are other strats out there, such as the "Martingale", which is essentially doubling the bet amount every loss, then resetting your bet to minimum after a win to in theory "win back what you lost". At 47.5% odds of winning, I've had loss streaks that would drain my account.
My summary for Multiply, use sparingly. Don't use it as your primary means of earning. Use once or twice daily, limit play sessions to 5 minutes max.

7️⃣AUTOMATION7️⃣
📝NOTE: FREEBITCO.IN captcha requirements seem to be tiered, with requirements for Captcha free upscaling when you BTC holding passes a certain threshold.
I'm currently testing, as is another team member (Shout out to u/SrExtreme69) , what exactly these thresholds, if holding at these thresholds increases the length of Captcha free rolls, and at what amount does FREEBITCO.IN no longer require these to be met.📝
📝NOTE: To start automating, remember to verify email and setup 2FA or the Captcha will still appear even if your account meets Captcha free requirements. Check the site occasionally as Captcha free roll requirements can change. After certain held BTC amount you don't need to renew your requirements. I haven't had to achieve new requirements in over a month.📝
📝NOTE: You may need to manually roll for a bit until the the ability to achieve a Captcha free account becomes available. It doesn't show at first.📝
📝NOTE: It's very difficult, if not impossible to automate on iOS devices.
First of all, getting to this point can be a grind, but once achieved you'll have a steady flow of BTC with options to increase earnings through rewards claims using RP. I would suggest going to your PROFILE tab on FREEBITCO.IN and disabling lottery to increase RP production when starting out. Using other apps or resources to supplement income is a good idea as well.
On the FREE BTC page, there is a blue text hyperlink with requirements that need to be met to make your account captcha free, thus allowing you to enable autoroll on extensions or apps. It has multiple ways to achieve this and they can change, so if your autoroll has stopped, check to see if these requirements have changed.
Here are the requirements. (Amounts vary)
It seems only two of these requirements need to be met.
The less risky and easiest method is to buy lottery tickets and bet with jackpots on. Even better is depositing bitcoin if you have that amount.
The POSSIBLY least expensive method is to bet both regularly and with Jackpots enabled on MULTIPLY (for higher amounts required, IMO Multiplier strat #3 works best)

8️⃣OPTIMIZATION AND USE OF FREEBITCO.IN8️⃣
For computers
I would suggest using Firefox, as you can add functions and tools to your bar up top. One of the being a "auto roll" for FREEBITCO.IN, still requires a "captcha free" account. Turn it on and let go, check it occasionally to make sure its still going.
Autoroll firefox add-on link
My link again for ease of access
Not my preferred method, but good for a second account, as using a computer means devoting more attention to FREEBITCO.IN in an inconvenient manner if you are just starting out. After Captcha has been removed, this becomes more hands free, but not as profitable as using bitbot, as you can't autoclaim RP rewards.
I haven't tried many methods besides using Firefox addons, as I'm wary of sources or intent when it comes to 3rd party scripts or programs. If I find any trustworthy scripts or programs, I will update here.
For Mobile
🛑BITBOT WARNING, IF YOU USE BITBOT TO ACCESS FREEBITCO.IN BEFORE USING MY REFERRAL, YOU WILL BE REFERRED THROUGH BITBOT, AND THEY DON'T SHARE COMMISSIONS AS FAR AS I CAN TELL🛑 My Link again
📝NOTE: iOS devices (iPhone, iPad) do not have access to BitBot, nor do they allow extensions/add-ons on their browsers. I have not personally found a way around this. You may still access the site and manually roll.📝
I use BitBot. This is the best place to start from IMO. You can set it to notify you of rolls and gives direct access to the site from the app (you can also access the site from any device with internet). Once your account is "captcha free" you can set it to auto roll AND automatically claim rewards every 24 hours (RP increase, BTC increase, Lottery ticket Increase).
📝NOTE: Bitbot allows auto roll from the app for accounts over 500 RP. This isn't permanent, as it uses your RP. You'll need to log onto the website through a browser to achieve captch free account requirements, which Bitbot does recognize, which allow completely free rolls.📝
📝NOTE: Accessing FREEBITCO.IN through BitBot doesn't allow access to the Hi-Lo or betting games.📝
⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹⏹
9️⃣STRATS TO INCREASE EARNINGS9️⃣
Bitbot optimization
I started manual claims by setting roll notifications to "ON" for a while until I supplemented my BTC in FREEBITCO.IN with what I was collecting from my miner and CryptoTab. Once I was able to AUTOMATE and I had enough RP to claim the RP BONUS, I set it to do that automatically every 24 hours as this nets more RP than you spend (EG, 100 RP roll bonus costs 1200 RP, but can net 2400 RP if claimed every hour). Eventually you accrue enough RP to claim the %1000 BTC bonus, probably at a rate of once or twice a week.
My current BitBot settings now that its auto claiming, I have the 24 hour auto bonus claiming 100 RP roll bonus and 100% claim bonus, spending a total of 1520 RP, but I'm making 2400 RP with the RP bonus, leaving me 780 RP in the positive each day. Every now and then I'll stop the auto bonus claim so I can buy the 1000% claim bonus (3200 RP). So on a normal day I'll make about 1344 Satoshi. Bitbot auto bonus settings
Once your accrue more referrals, or save enough RP, it's possible to claim the 1000% BTC roll bonus multiple days in a row. This is just about as optimal as you can get for auto rolling.
Self Referrals
If you have two devices (phone and computer preferably) you can make two accounts as long as one uses a different wifi or internet connection, as the roll rewards tracks IP addresses for roll counts. So if you have 2 devices on the same network, it sudo links accounts, so if you roll on one, it restarts the timer on the other. This allows you to collect referral rewards from yourself. Effectively adding 25% of interest and 50% roll rewards.
I currently have a phone autorolling on BitBot with a computer autorolling on Firefox with a tool to roll automatically as long as the page remains open. My computer account is referred from my mobile account, and is currently bringing in an extra .000015+ BTC weekly (currently, total will be this Sunday and I will update).
I've also made another account on my partners phone, linked it with bitbot and got it auto-rolling. Once bitbot is going, its non-invasive and you can silence notifications, it also uses minimal data.
Supplementing with CryptoTab
I'll use CryptoTab on my computer 24/7 to earn BTC from that while I have FREEBITCO.IN running. I also have it running on my phone at night when I sleep and on an iPad I have that I don't use much, its server mining, so no worries about battery on mobile devices. On computers it does actually use your processing power. You can directly deposit into you FREEBITCO.IN accounts.
CryptoTab Link
I've used it for two weeks and have earned a total of .000454 BTC (3.60$ USD). Not huge, but enough to start collecting interest on FREEBITCO.IN and to get the capthca free account requirements.
Supplementing with Cointiply
🛑WARNING: Cointiply's main currency is the constant, weighted against the dollar (10,000 coin/1USD). This means your actually BTC holdings will fluctuate with BTC's price.
For this reason, it's my strong opinion that DON'T HODL in Cointiply as you're not holding actual BTC.🛑
Cointiply is a great site to earn decent amounts of COIN which translate to SAT's. Earn coin, withdraw to FREEBITCO.IN (as you actually hold BTC in cointiply).
I also use an ASIC miner (Antminer s9i, DIY liquid cooled and overclocked with BixBit firmware), and whatever I earn I'll put that into FREEBITCO.IN to collect interest. If you want, I may be willing to do a rental.

1️⃣0️⃣ADVERTISING YOUR LINK1️⃣0️⃣
📝NOTE: Since this faucet has been around a while, many people privy to sites such as this are already signed up. So getting referrals can be a slog. My tips for your ads is be genuine and don't hard sell or post "too good to be true" sensational ads.📝
COINTIPLY
This is another faucet. Its structure is a bit different from FREEBITCO.IN, as you complete offers to earn coin. Within this site (also an app) users can earn coins by doing PTC ads (and other offers), this is a good method to get exposure as you can advertise as well. Using this method my traffic for last week as about 800 people.
13000 coins buys about 1000 "clicks" on your ads. They also have options to advertise to people based on location (these options will increase or decrease cost). After your first ad, you usually get a 10% off coupon good for 7 days as well.
You can earn this amount within a day doing surveys on Theorem. I've done surveys before, and this has to be one of the best surveys sights I've ever done. Very rarely do I get kicked out mid survey, and if I do, I still get partial pay.
I will also use "Hideout" on my computer and leave it running. It has to be the open tab on your browser, with the browser open, not minimized. Let it go and check it occasionally as it has a timeout at roughly 2-3 hrs idle. As of now this is the best passive method of earning on Cointiply.
PI NETWORK
Pi Network, an ICO (Initial coin offering) based on trust and social media is another good medium for advertising. I will usually see 15-20 people click on my link with 2-4 ads posted per day.
Just go to "chat", select "random" and post an ad in the chat channel. No charge.
My tip, keep your ads short to medium in length, don't spam.
XYO NETWORK/COIN APP
This is another crypto earned through "geo-mining". On the "coin" app you can do a "geodrop" where you can leave a note. Just click on the box with a parachute icon, select "any" on the "Tile" selection. Leave your ad in the "note" section.
It costs 10 "COIN" at the very least to do a "geodrop". This method may not be worth it if you aren't already involved in the program. To earn a substantial amount of coin, you'll need a subscription or a "sentinel". Sentinels can actually be purchased for under 20$ nowadays (depending on site) and is the best option to earn. Without these you'll only make approx .05-.18 coin every 30 seconds if you're actively moving.
My tips if you plan on advertising on this platform, once again keep it short, and only advertise around 7-9am and 4-6pm, as this will be peak mining hours with people driving to and from work.

CPU and GPU usage is high for no reason

I was wondering why my CPU and GPU usage seem to be VERY high even though i am not using any applications except FireFox even when i stopped using firefox it was still high, and when i mean high i mean over 30% and even over 40% (My CPU is i5 and GPU is gtx 750ti). Also i checked task manager to see if any were still working undercover but no everythings closed..

Investment advice from /u/Nooku (end of 2017 edition)

It has been a while since I wrote my latest big altcoin topic.
This sub only had <10 000 subscribers, times surely have changed.
I used to invest in altcoins (with seperate networks) but ever since Ethereum gained traction I have unloaded all of my alts and switched exlusively to Ethereum tokens.
There are a few reasons for this:
1) Obviously Ethereum is the prime technology in the cryptocurrency space, and will keep that spot, even strengthen it, in the foreseeable future. Any coins living on the Ethereum network will benefit from the worldwide exposure ETH gives. All these tokens have this Ethereum "buff" as you will.
2) Ignoring the ICO scams, there are many technologies out there that are choosing the Ethereum network because they see the endless posibilities of the network and want to bring value. This results in a huge brain gain from smart developers around the world. Intelligence means value.
Another important note is that I'm a long-term investor. I don't care about short term gains. I look long term so the value dictates the price, not the hype.
Let's get right into my picks.

1st Tier

All prices are in USD for future reference
BAT ($0.15): BAT is the Basic Attention Token, a token that works together with the Brave webbrowser. It's a strong idea from Brendan Eich. He's not your average IT-guy. This guy has changed the way our browsers work, twice. He first invented JavaScript, a scripting language that every single web application or website relies on today. Then he went on to become the co-founder of the Mozilla Project. They invented the Mozilla browser, which evolved into the more widely known Firefox browser. Again changing the way we interact and surf the web.
His newest radical idea is to change the way advertising works.
Today the advertisers pay websites to spam your screen with ads. He wants to turn the roles around. He wants advertisers to pay you, the user, for allowing them to target you with ads. Every user will now get a choice on wanting to receive ads or not. If a user accepts, the user gets paid.
A radical but simple idea to end the era of obnoxious and missmatched ad spam and the need for adblock plugins.
Its current market cap of $153 million is a steal for a solution that both users as advertisers have reason to love and prefer.
GNT ($0.26): GNT, the Golem project, was the one ICO that marked a new era in crypto-land: "The ICO". It was one of the first tokens on the Ethereum network, and its $8.6 million coin offering got sold out in 20 minutes back in 2016. The event attracted wide attention and soon after we would start to see the ICO token boom. This was before raising money through an ICO was considered to be "easy"
Their main idea is just as revolutionary as their ICO:
becoming a marketplace for computing power. Bitcoin burns electricity with meaningless calculations, while Golem wants to turn this into usable calculations.
When you think about Golem, you have to imagine: Rendering, processing big data for scientific research, keeping artificial intelligent agents online for 24/7 that can be interacted with.
This is a big idea that can enhance the world in many ways, on a wide range of fields. The GNT coin will be the currency these miners receive, and researchers, users, programmers will be paying.
At a $222 million market cap, you are not only buying the access keys to huge amounts of processing power, but you might also be buying future access to artificial intelligent agents who will execute your job for you.
DATA ($0.11): What do the above agents that run on the Golem network need for their computing cycles? They'll be needing data. Lots of data. Streams of data.
This is where DATA comes in, the coin of the StreamR network. You want your application to tap in on a constant stream of relevant data? Establish a connection with the StreamR network to receive a constant real-time stream of data, in exchange for DATA coin.
It's not a coincidence that the StreamR developers are closely colaborating with the Golem developers. Golem's posibilities increase with the existence of a decentralized network that streams data. And Golem is a great client for the StreamR network to deliver data to.
With a $75 million market cap and rank 82 (up from 109 last week), this coin is on the rise through the rankings. And for good reason.
I'm not randomly picking coins here.
ETH ($445.85): Just for completion, this is a standard pick. Of course ETH is going to go higher. Now that I'm at it, I'll just typ what really interests you. Worst case scenario is a $1000 value for ETH in 2018. My expected (but for some probably conservative) expection and estimation puts ETH at an expected $1500 price in 2018. I might be writing a deeper analysis with more detailed predictions in the near future (no promises) (historical reference).

2nd tier

Time to explain my tiers. The above 4 coins are the coins I really believe in, which I call the 1st tier. These are long term investments with a very low risk.
The 2nd tier coins have less fundamentals and may be more speculative, although still have a reasonably low risk.
RLC ($0.50): iExec. Kind of a tricky one. But if you love, believe in, and hodl Golem, you would want to hodl iExec (RLC) as well.
iExec can be considered a healthy competitor to Golem. If Golem succeeds, iExec will be considered the 2nd chance investment for those who missed the Golem train.
If Golem struggles, iExec might take over its role and become the technology that Golem tried but failed to be.
At a market cap of $40 million, the risk is relatively low while the potential reward can be quite lucrative. If it would ever manage to hit todays market cap of Golem, we are facing a 500 % increase, safely outweighting the risk of -100%.
If you were to own Golem, RLC is a safe hedge, and your insurance.

Other coins worth mentioning

OMG ($8.16): OmiseGo, and ANT ($1.80): Aragon. Both beautiful projects that enhance Ethereum itself and will be making the network more valuable.

Final note

Are there other, perhaps better coins out there than the above list? Absolutely.
Times have changed. With now there being an abundance of coins to choose from making it impossible to look into all of them.
The above coins are projects I have researched thoroughly and which I can conclude to be safe bets. Projects that have a high chance of success, while still being relatively cheap.

Please share your picks including the why's

As always, let's help each other with more suggestions and picks, with preferably low market caps since that's where the gains are to be made.
Happy hodling!

Bitcoin Miner malware, detected with Malware Bytes but I believe it's still hidden somewhere.

so a few days ago I did something stupid and tried to torrent a game for the first time and ended up installing a Bitcoin Miner onto my PC :/ It was very obvious that it was malware as it quickly seemed to hijack Google Chrome. I scanned with Windows Defender but nothing was found so I checked out the sticky post on here and got a trial of Malware Bytes, which detected the malware and quarantined it, then I removed it. I really thought it was that simple but I think it's still there. I had Spotify playing music on idle and got curious, did CTRL + ALT + DELETE to open up Task Manager and quickly saw my CPU % shoot down from 100% to 2% - %5, which is what it's been sitting at when I'm using it right now.
Other than that, there are a couple of weird things that make me think the virus is still there:
  1. Programs keep getting Suspended status in Task Manager (this is happening to Malware Bytes and Google Chrome), which never used to happen before. This a brand new PC I built in January so it shouldn't be doing this that often. I tried to open Malware Bytes now to scan again and it just froze on "Not Responding" and I can't seem to close it...
  2. There is a strange "Suspended" background process in Task Manager that uses up 3.6MB of memory. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like: http://prntscr.com/lchp1w :(
  3. When I right click ^ "open file location" on the suspended process and the 2 others below it, the location I get is C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and it's titled svchost.exe, which I read is a normal Windows process but there are A LOT of them running in my Task Manager right now
  4. All the other svchost.exes are under C:\Windows\System32, which I read is fine. Does this mean that the one in SysWOW64 is malware/infected?
As per the stickied thread, I ran rkill.com and turned on "scan for rootkits" in my Malware Bytes trial, and also ran the ADWCleaner. I did all of the above after I had originally removed the malware with Malware Bytes, so all these second scans didn't detect anything. Is there anything else I could do to actually detect the malware and remove it?
EDIT: Google Chrome keeps not responding, same with Malware Bytes. Can't uninstall Malware Bytes and Firefox stopped responding too. Writing this on my phone since I turned everything off briefly after writing this post, since my mouse started moving extremely slow and a repetitive beeping sound started coming out of my speakers. I swear it was like whatever infected me detected whenever I looked up information on malware removal and visited this subreddit ...

100% CPU on all 8 threads while visiting TPB

I was looking at a torrent page and suddenly all my CPU threads went 100% 80-85%, something which usually only occurs when I'm encoding stuff. Happens on some pages, and it only stops when I navigate back to the home page or close the tab.
Chrome's task management manager shows it's the tab that's causing it and not an extension. I'm using the latest Chrome with Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin. Windows Defender and a scan with MalwareBytes (Free) do not give any warnings.
Just a heads up because I think it's very unusual and suspicious behavior.
UPDATE: The Chrome extension ScriptSafe seems to prevent this from happening. It blocks the following: thepiratebay.org (4)
UPDATE 2: As some comments point out, this could well be a sign that users are part of a shady bitcoin mining operation. Firefox is also affected. On the official TPB forum someone made a topic about this as well.
UPDATE 3: TorrentFreak picked this up, I made a post about it in this subreddit.

A letter to the IDW regarding Patreon and other social media CEO ideologues.

These past 3-4 years or so I've seen social media morph into something complete opposite of what they once were. Today I'm seeing it being pushed hard in coding and in the video game industry, all the way out to comics now. There is currently a war on social media (which is the obvious one), linux (which is an open source operating system), and in the online video game community. Linux could have huge repercussions depending on the outcome, as a lot of stuff we use is built with linux and a lot of businesses use linux because it's free.
Social media is obvious, so I'll spare sources on those.

All of this is beside the point, but i just want to give everyone a feel for how far this is spreading.
Now lets discuss what I came here to talk about which is blockchain technology. In my opinion, the issue we're seeing is centralized entities slowly evolve with or without the consent of the general public. What ends up happening over time is these companies begin to lose touch with their consumers and it begins to go unchecked essentially due to the attention economy arms-race. So at best, we have a system that will cycle and repeat itself via centralized entities. New company starts, slowly turns into ideologically driven company, turns into something user base doesn't like, new company starts to compete with ideologically driven company, repeat. Centralization is at the core of most of the issues we see today. This is why decentralization may be the only real long term solution, which is what blockchain technology offers in many areas.
When most people hear the word blockchain they think of bitcoin, which was the first blockchain that went live back in 2009. Bitcoin is a transfer of value from A to B, or digital cash. Since its inception it has been self-sustaining and publicly governed via the bitcoin Proof of Work protocol. In a nutshell, anyone can buy mining hardware and start mining for the blockchain. Miners validate transactions and provide security for the network (more hashpower = more expensive 51% attack ). Their incentive to do so is being rewarded with bitcoin. Every block they mine they get rewarded with a number of bitcoin. Thus creating a decentralized transfer of value with no corporation or government oversight, all the work is done by the public including updates to the protocol. Miners get to vote on BIPs with their contributing hashpower to the network.
The next step we've seen in the blockchain space was Ethereum which used the underlying blockchain technology of bitcoin, and create their own decentralized world computer essentially by adding in smart contracts/programming languages into the blockchain. This allows decentralized applications (dapps) entirely to be built on top of the blockchain, creating their own self-sustaining publicly governed applications. The most valuable things Ethereum has to offer are DApps and DAOs (decentralized autonomous organizations). What this allows is for the Ethereum network to have layers, the Ethereum protocol will have its own rules and protocols as far as governing/validating transactions for it, which is the layer 1. The DApps/DAOs will then have their own rules and protocols for the same things which is the layer 2 which is all determined by the DApp/DAO itself. I would like to give some DApps I think the IDW should look into certainly, then other stuff that's currently unusable or has a cool concept.
The first one is BAT Basic Attention Token/Brave Browser which is targeting the ad/attention economy, as well as patreon inadvertently. The brains behind all of this is Brendan Eich -- creator of javascript and founder of Mozilla Firefox. SJW culture had also already infected firefox which led to him getting fired.
Here is Brendan Eich giving the new decentralized attention economy rundown -- https://vimeo.com/209336437
The Brave Browser and the Basic Attention Token will work in a duo to get the current ad model back to sanity. Brave Browser blocks all ads/trackers natively. There is also very big emphasis on privacy beyond that built (or being built) into the browers. It is a fork of the Chromium (Google Chrome) software which will incentivize developers to build on it, while also allowing compatibility with addons -- though vetting process will not be the same. They have private tabs, TOR (Onion browser) tabs, and are currently working on a built in VPN for maximum privacy. Here are my Brave stats for ~1 year of use -- https://imgur.com/a/t3pWBP3
The BAT token comes in as the value for the decentralized ad ecosystem. Consumers will have the choice to opt in or out of ads on their system. If they choose to allow them, they will be rewarded with BAT tokens. The browser will help learn about what ads would specifically be valuable to you but not mine your data. Users will then give BAT back to their favorite content creators. I have personally participated in 5 separate payments throughout the year, right now they offer a lot of free promo BAT to give away so if interested definitely check out the Brave Browser and look in >Settings >Payments and you can mess around and earn free promo BAT tokens. You can send directly to websites, including specific YouTube channels.

Getting started on becoming a verified publisher -- https://brave.com/publishers/ -- The only two who I support that are verified are Bret Weinstein and Dave Rubin. I still send to other IDW channels though because they will be notified when they hit 100$ worth of tokens.
Whitepaper for much more technical overview -- https://whitepaperdatabase.com/basic-attention-token-bat-whitepape
E-commerce
The next area I want to talk about is e-commerce and blockchain. There are a couple I recommend looking into for invoicing on the blockchain. BitPay for bitcoin payments (not decentralized but usable today) and Request Network for Ethereum and dapp token payments. What they offer is decentralization and basically a "Pay with PayPal" button for cryptocurrencies. They also track all the backend stuff like date, time, how much was spent, etc. Standard invoice/auditing but on the blockchain. So you don't have to deal with all the hassle of tracking and organizing your payments for tax purposes. In the future a lot of the accounting work will be automated by Request Network or other alternatives via smart contracts. Bitcoin sadly doesn't offer smart contracts but we might see some interoperability in blockchain very soon. The REQ token will be used for governance of the protocol and processing Request Network transactions. Giving the people who are invested in it say in what happens with the protocol.
Detailed rundown of Request Network -- https://coincentral.com/request-network-beginner-guide/
Whitepaper -- https://request.network/assets/pdf/request_whitepaper.pdf
Both of these could be tools utilized today, though adoption is still in its very early stages. Now I will list other concepts that haven't fully emerged as usable but are either in alpha/beta/propriety closed development until done.
SingularDTV -- https://singulardtv.com/ -- Tokenize yourself. Make your own token that represents your work and have the public value it accordingly. Aimed to be a decentralized entertainment industry, it could impact anything from YouTube to Record/label companies in music.

They will have a lineup of applications for different functions but the SNGL token will be used as the governance token. Tokit is the first application where you can hold a sort of crowdfund for yourself, which you are able to do today -- https://tokit.io/

Aragon I've heard Dr. Peterson speak about an autonomous education system and I believe he could potentially build one with proper developers. There is a DAO that is dedicated to DAO startups called Aragon, which is what I immediately think of when I hear him talk about a new education platform. Something self sustained and self governed. I'm not nearly smart enough to try and solve any game theory behind this but it could definitely be a starting point. They have already assisted multiple successful DAO startups such as district0x which is a DAO where people vote on developments. One of the first developments voted for was Decentraland which is a blockchain based VR world where you own the in-game property via tokens. So if nothing else is appealing in this list then I would suggest starting to build a DAO of your own!
TLDR; Centralization bad, decentralization good. Blockchain offers tons of decentralization.

What they really don't wan't you to know about Dash!

Dash is breaking away with regards to integrations, partnerships and developments that advocates of other Crypto Currencies have become frightened of Dash's future dominance. Unfortunately for most of these other Crypto Currency projects Dash as a platform is well and truly in the driving seat on so many levels.
Lets take a look at some of the achievements in 2017 and upcoming events:
More big news still to come in the coming month

What is a Cryptocurrency Wallet?

What is a Cryptocurrency Wallet?
Use this straightforward guide to learn what a cryptocurrency wallet is, how they work and discover which ones are the best on the market.
A cryptocurrency wallet is a software program that stores private and public keys and interacts with various blockchain to enable users to send and receive digital currency and monitor their balance. If you want to use Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, you will need to have a digital wallet.
How do they work?
Millions of people use cryptocurrency wallets, but there is considerable misunderstanding about how they work. Unlike traditional ‘pocket’ wallets, digital wallets don’t store currency. In fact, currencies don’t get stored in any single location or exist anywhere in any physical form. All that exists are records of transactions stored on the blockchain.
Cryptocurrency wallets are software programs that store your public and private keys and interface with various blockchain so users can monitor their balance, send money and conduct other operations. When a person sends you bitcoins or any other type of digital currency, they are essentially signing off ownership of the coins to your wallet’s address. To be able to spend those coins and unlock the funds, the private key stored in your wallet must match the public address the currency is assigned to. If public and private keys match, the balance in your digital wallet will increase, and the senders will decrease accordingly. There is no actual exchange of real coins. The transaction is signified merely by a transaction record on the blockchain and a change in balance in your cryptocurrency wallet.
What are the different types of Cryptocurrencywallets?
There are several types of wallets that provide different ways to store and access your digital currency. Wallets can be broken down into three distinct categories – software, hardware, and paper. Software wallets can be a desktop, mobile or online.
Are Cryptocurrency wallets secure?
Wallets are secure to varying degrees. The level of security depends on the type of wallet you use (desktop, mobile, online, paper, hardware) and the service provider. A web server is an intrinsically riskier environment to keep your currency compared to offline. Online wallets can expose users to possible vulnerabilities in the wallet platform which can be exploited by hackers to steal your funds. Offline wallets, on the other hand, cannot be hacked because they simply aren’t connected to an online network and don’t rely on a third party for security.
Although online wallets have proven the most vulnerable and prone to hacking attacks, diligent security precautions need to be implemented and followed when using any wallet. Remember that no matter which wallet you use, losing your private keys will lead you to lose your money. Similarly, if your wallet gets hacked, or you send money to a scammer, there is no way to reclaim lost currency or reverse the transaction. You must take precautions and be very careful!
Although Bitcoin is by far the most well-known and popular digital currency, hundreds of newcryptocurrencies (referred to as altcoins) have emerged, each with distinctive ecosystems and infrastructure. If you’re interested in using a variety of cryptocurrencies, the good news is, you don’t need set up a separate wallet for each currency. Instead of using a cryptocurrency wallet that supports a single currency, it may be more convenient to set up a multi-currency wallet which enables you to use several currencies from the same wallet.
Are there any transaction fees?
There is no straightforward answer here.
In general, transaction fees are a tiny fraction of traditional bank fees. Sometimes fees need to be paid for certain types of transactions to network miners as a processing fee, while some transactions don’t have any fee at all. It’s also possible to set your own fee. As a guide, the median transaction size of 226 bytes would result in a fee of 18,080 satoshis or $0.12. In some cases, if you choose to set a low fee, your transaction may get low priority, and you might have to wait hours or even days for the transaction to get confirmed. If you need your transaction completed and confirmed promptly, then you might need to increase the amount you’re willing to pay. Whatever wallet you end up using, transaction fees are not something you should worry about. You will either pay minuscule transaction fees, choose your own fees or pay no fees at all. A definite improvement from the past!
Are cryptocurrency wallets anonymous?
Kind of, but not really. Wallets are pseudonymous. While wallets aren’t tied to the actual identity of a user, all transactions are stored publicly and permanently on the blockchain. Your name or personal street address won’t be there, but data like your wallet address could be traced to your identity in a number of ways. While there are efforts underway to make anonymity and privacy easier to achieve, there are obvious downsides to full anonymity. Check out the DarkWallet project that is looking to beef up privacy and anonymity through stealth addresses and coin mixing.
Which Cryptocurrency wallet is the best?
There is an ever-growing list of options. Before picking a wallet, you should, however, consider how you intend to use it.
Bread Wallet
Bread Wallet is a simple mobile Bitcoin digital wallet that makes sending bitcoins as easy as sending an email. The wallet can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. Bread Wallet offers a standalone client, so there is no server to use when sending or receiving bitcoins. That means users can access their money and are in full control of their funds at all times. Overall, Bread Wallet’s clean interface, lightweight design and commitment to continually improve security, make the application safe, fast and a pleasure to use for both beginners and experienced users alike.
Mycelium
Advanced users searching for a Bitcoin mobile digital wallet, should look no further than mycelium. The Mycelium mobile wallet allows iPhone and Android users to send and receive bitcoins and keep complete control over bitcoins. No third party can freeze or lose your funds! With enterprise-level security superior to most other apps and features like cold storage and encrypted PDF backups, an integrated QR-code scanner, a local trading marketplace and secure chat amongst others, you can understand why Mycelium has long been regarded as one of the best wallets on the market.
Exodus
Exodus is a relatively new and unknown digital wallet that is currently only available on the desktop. It enables the storage and trading of Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoins, Dogecoins and Dash through an incredibly easy to use, intuitive and beautiful interface. Exodus also offers a very simple guide to backup your wallet. One of the great things about Exodus is that it has a built-in shapeshift exchange that allows users to trade altcoins for bitcoins and vice versa without leaving the wallet.
Copay
Created by Bitpay, Copay is one of the best digital wallets on the market. If you’re looking for convenience, Copay is easily accessed through a user-friendly interface on desktop, mobile or online. One of the best things about Copay is that it’s a multi-signature wallet so friends or business partners can share funds. Overall, Copay has something for everyone. It’s simple enough for entry-level users but has plenty of additional geeky features that will impress more experienced players as well.
Jaxx
Jaxx is a multi-currency Ether, Ether Classic, Dash, DAO, Litecoin, REP, Zcash, Rootstock, Bitcoin wallet and user interface. Jaxx has been designed to deliver a smooth Bitcoin and Ethereum experience. It is available on a variety of platforms and devices (Windows, Linux, Chrome, Firefox, OSX, Android mobile & tablet, iOS mobile & tablet) and connects with websites through Firefox and Chrome extensions. Jaxx allows in wallet conversion between Bitcoin, Ether and DAO tokens via Shapeshift and the import of Ethereum paper wallets. With an array of features and the continual integration of new currencies, Jaxx is an excellent choice for those who require a multi-currency wallet.
Armory
Armory is an open source Bitcoin desktop wallet perfect for experienced users that place emphasis on security. Some of Armory’s features include cold storage, multi-signature transactions, one-time printable backups, multiple wallets interface, GPU-resistant wallet encryption, key importing, key sweeping and more. Although Armory takes a little while to understand and use to it’s full potential, it’s a great option for more tech-savvy bitcoiners looking to keep their funds safe and secure.
Trezor is a hardware Bitcoin wallet that is ideal for storing large amounts of bitcoins. Trezor cannot be infected by malware and never exposes your private keys which make it as safe as holding traditional paper money. Trezor is open source and transparent, with all technical decisions benefiting from wider community consultation. It’s easy to use, has an intuitive interface and is Windows, OS X and Linux friendly. One of the few downsides of the Trezor wallet is that it must be with you to send bitcoins. This, therefore, makes Trezor best for inactive savers, investors or people who want to keep large amounts of Bitcoin highly secure.
Ledger Nano
The Ledger Wallet Nano is a new hierarchical deterministic multisig hardware wallet for bitcoin users that aims to eliminate a number of attack vectors through the use of a second security layer. This tech-heavy description does not mean much to the average consumer, though, which is why I am going to explain it in plain language, describing what makes the Ledger Wallet Nano tick. In terms of hardware, the Ledger Wallet Nano is a compact USB device based on a smart card. It is roughly the size of a small flash drive, measuring 39 x 13 x 4mm (1.53 x 0.51 x 0.16in) and weighing in at just 5.9g.
Pros:
Cons:
Green Address
Green Address is a user-friendly Bitcoin wallet that’s an excellent choice for beginners. Green Address is accessible via desktop, online or mobile with apps available for Chrome, iOS, and Android. Features include multi-signature addresses & two-factor authentications for enhanced security, paper wallet backup, and instant transaction confirmation. A downside is that Green Address is required to approve all payments, so you do not have full control over your spending
Blockchain (dot) info
Blockchain is one of the most popular Bitcoin wallets. Accessing this wallet can be done from any browser or smartphone. Blockchain.info provides two different additional layers. For the browser version, users can enable two-factor authentication, while mobile users can activate a pin code requirement every time the wallet application is opened. Although your wallet will be stored online and all transactions will need to go through the company’s servers, Blockchain.info does not have access to your private keys. Overall, this is a well-established company that is trusted throughout the Bitcoin community and makes for a solid wallet to keep your currency.

Ethereum Is Going To Decimate Itself In A Month

http://genesisblocknews.com/ethereum-is-going-to-decimate-itself-in-a-month/
At GenesisBlockNews we love to roast shitcoins in nuclear hellfire, but Ethereum is not a shitcoin. I actually like Ethereum. Its smart contract capabilities, ease of creating tokens, and streamlined integration into Firefox via MetaMask are all really cool and useful. However, it saddens me to see Ethereum walking down the plank towards an obvious suicide. The Ethereum developers are preparing to get rid of their miners. They are ‘softening’ the transition from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS) via kicking their miners in the nuts, by slashing block rewards from 3 Ether to 2 Ether, and blocking ASICs via ProgPoW.
If the Ethereum developers really want to get rid of the miners that secure their network, they shouldn’t kick their miners in the nuts and then expect everything to run smoothly until PoS is implemented. They should just implement PoS instantly without a transition, even though it is an awful decision to get rid of the mining community.
These miners are going to be angry. Already the miners feel robbed, before anything has happened, since Ethereum has declined from USD 1,400 to less than USD 90, ruining mining profitability. Miners are dumping their rigs for scrap metal. A pawn shop probably would give miners $2, enough to buy a pack of clippers, for the best Ethereum mining rig, since all Ethereum rigs are unprofitable. The mining hash rate has declined from 300,000 GH/s to 175,000 GH/s, and it is a miracle it is still that high.
So a bunch of miners that already feel very pissed off are about to have block rewards slashed by 1/3. The most idiotic thing about the fork is the banning of ASIC miners via ProgPoW. Most of Ethereum’s hash rate is ASICs, and these ASIC miners will probably all split off and make a new version of Ethereum. They have nothing to lose by doing this, their survival depends on it actually.
Satoshi Nakamoto knows that miners are the lifeblood of a cryptocurrency, and he designed Bitcoin around the mining aspect. Ethereum is about to slit its wrists and drain all of its lifeblood. Ethereum is already at USD 88, about a month before the fork. An internal war in the Ethereum community, plus the devastating loss of its mining community when the fork happens, could turn Ethereum into a single digit shitcoin. Arthur Hayes is perhaps infamous for saying Ethereum will be a double digit shitcoin, back when it was USD 300, and he has verified, but he did not expect single digits. It could easily happen, and the Ethereum war could be more violent than the Bitcoin Cash war.

⟡⟡⟡ Play and Win ETH coins on best Ethereum lottery dapp ETHEX.BET ⟡⟡⟡

We are now in July of year 2019. Bitcoin is making big waves in the world, Facebook is creating their own Libra coin, and US president said that he is not fan of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies... That only means that big changes are ahead of us, and that we are in the brink of new era. Crypto is the new standard now, so fasten your seat belts and enjoy the ride.

People want FAIR and SIMPLE systems, and they want to have some FUN in everyday lives. It is rear for me to see some good and interesting crypto projects nowadays, but from time to time I do find some gems and nice projects worth reviewing. One of them is:
📷

ETHEX.BET

What is Ethex.Bet? Ethex.Bet is Ethereum smart contract lottery game with great prizes and big chances to win. It is provably fair and secure cryptographically. Players need to guess the Etherium block hash using their bet transaction, and that makes it impossible to cheat, and in the same time makes it very exciting game to play.

HOW TO PLAY?

Very easy. First thing you need to do is to visit official EthexBet website https://ethex.bet/ and install Metamask extension in your web browser: https://metamask.io/ Then you need to guess last hexadecimal numbers of Ethereum block hash using numbers from 1 to 6. More symbols you match, prize will be bigger. With Ethereum on your Metamask address you can bet minimum amount of 0.01 ETH for each symbol. Once everything is ready, click the "PLACE A BET" button and confirm Ethereum transaction with your bet. Wait for miners to calculate the block with your transaction and smart contract. Cross your finger :) and if you WIN then please click GRAB YOUR PRIZE! Can't be more simple than that, but please first read the rules here: https://ethex.bet/rules Good Luck!

You can play EthexBet on any computer and mobile device, smartphone or tablet. For mobile devices you will need to install Coinbase Wallet application from App Store or Google Play ( iOS, Android ) Then create a wallet, open it and go to the DApps section in the bottom bar and type https://ethex.bet/ You are now set to go! Good Luck.
You can also use mobile Firefox browser with Metamask extension, and you will have exact same result. It is always good to have more than one option for sure.
Before you start to play with real crypto, I recommend that you try and play in Demo Mode. Get to know how it works, and then use real crypto.

HOW TO WIN?

First, play smart and never invest more than you can afford to loose. Then you should know some basic rules for Ethex.Bet platform, and decide if you want to have low or high risk when playing. If you guess correct one or more symbols you win. If you choose group of symbols you will have higher chance of winning but prize will be smaller, and if you want higher risk simply choose specific symbol and your potential prize will be greater. Exact prize is proportionally divided between all winners of that block.
You can also win Jackpots, and there are Daily Jackpot, Weekly Jackpot, Monthly Jackpot and Season Jackpot. There is also a big Superprize with current potential win of 180.830531 ETH You need to guess all 6 last symbols of the hash to win this amazing prize.
Process of deciding the winner of jackpot is very simple. When the block of jackpot is mined, smart-contract uses its hash to convert it into the number and then count every bet registered for the jackpot. If there are less bets than the hash number, it starts again until hash number ends. Jackpot winner is the bet before the count ends. I think this is clear and everyone can understand how it is working.
Chances for winning are much higher than regular Lotto and Powerball, and remember that you need to guess only last 6 hash symbols for ETH block.
OK, now enough talking from me... go and try it yourself :)

ADVANTAGES

Some people would say, ok but what advantages EthexBet have when compared to other similar platforms and regular Lottery?

VERDICT

One of the real use cases for cryptocurrenices is platform like EthexBet. Idea of predicting Etherium hash block is brilliant, and I think there is a space for EthexBet platform to grow even more and offer more games with this or some similar model. Maybe including Bitcoin blockchain in the game? I contacted EthexBet team regarding their plans for the platform, and I would like to write second part of this article with new and fresh information. Play Safe. Play EthexBet

Important Note: Please do your own research and investigation. I am not your financial advisor, but rather a crypto enthusiast researcher !
For any business propositions contact me on email address: [email protected]
Please visit Ethex.Bet links below for more information, or contact Ethex team directly on [email protected] EthexBet team is very open to public and new ideas, and anyone can send them catchy ideas, suggestions and proposals.
